Ascension for Regular Star Seeds who still have Emotional Breakthroughs to be Had

This post was originally published in January 2015.

Bliss does not come from having a life of sweet tea and roses all day. At least it hasn’t for me. If you were simply born BLISSY and never had a bad thought enter your head, I’m sure you are either from another planet, or you are certainly an enlightened being. Read more

How Spirulina Helped Heal My Family Of Autism And Seizures (And My Chocolate Spirulina Recipe!)

Green Food Is Good

Allow me to introduce you to spirulina,  one of our most favorite super foods! With all of the hype about GMO- Monsanto-Franken-Neuro-Toxic-Mutant food, I wanted you to know that you can still get pure amazing nutritious HEALTHY food. Food that can even negate and detoxify you from the ill-effects of eating the packaged poop stuff.

And prevent further damage.

Spirulina, a form of blue-green algae,  boasts 10 times more beta carotene than carrots, is about 65% protein and provides us with essential fatty acids, phytonutrients, probiotics, and antioxidants.

Millions of years ago, before we were even a tear-drop in Mother Nature’s eye – Spirulina flourished. The nutrients contained in the spirulina plant helped our planet evolve. It’s perhaps our earliest ancestor.

To me, it offers one of the simplest ways to end world hunger!  You actually need less food when you eat it because it takes care of so many nutritional needs. It grows easily and well in lakes and oceans, and I’m just discovering that it can even be grown in soil.  Think of what savvy organic growers could do with this stuff!

At times when Dougie and I were in deep healing from his autism and my candida — we THRIVED on spirulina. Just adding it to our diets made us happier, gave us energy, and REALLY curbed sugar cravings. Plus it helps tremendously with brain-fog.

The plant has undergone intense studies for the past 30 years, and proves safe for the little ones as well. So, don’t worry so much if they won’t eat their lima beans – push the algae, and get super healthy kids.

Dougie had his first serving at age 3 years and 1 day. And, at 3 years and 1.5 days– he was potty trained. That’s without practice. And, experts told us he had autism, and that meant we could expect delays and complete lack in development.

The first time he ever had the kicked-up spirulina blend from Bio-Age (Bioage.com), he buttoned his shirt for the first time. He lost a tic that he had for a few months, and over a small period of time — he began to speak more clearly. We saw so much developmental BLISS with the BIOAGE Algaes, that we removed most of our other supplements. It’s still a staple.

It reduces brain swelling. It sends nutrients where they need to go without making your body work so hard to digest. This is majorly important in autism and many cases of common illness like allergies and auto-immune dysfunction because digestion is so compromised.

My hubby used it as the main healing tool in helping him recover from a seizure disorder and a 12 year reliance on some pretty harsh prescription seizure meds.

Why wouldn’t we want to use spirulina to feed the hungry? It would open their minds and lift their spirits while nourishing them!

Consuming spirulina (algae) has been linked to recovery from diseases like cancer, ADD, and autism. Research also shows significant progress in its effect against the AIDS virus. In my time working with private clients, I’ve been able to see clarity of mind come back to people with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s through the use of  spirulina.

Spirulina is a super food  — which means it is a complete food. Think — something they’d eat on the Matrix. People use spirulina to enhance energy, detoxify poisons (sugar, alcohol, mercury), control weight and balance mood.

Check out this great e-book on Spirulina and Chlorella by the Health Ranger, Mike Adams of Natural News!

Spirulina For Dinner?

So, the question is how does it taste? I’m sure you don’t want to be making yourself an algae salad three times a day just so that you can tout gorgeous skin and enough energy to keep you awake through the night, right? I gotta be honest — some of it is pretty gross! And, while it can be taken in pill-form, you’ve got to watch that you get the purest kind that is without mercury…because if it comes from a toxic lake its got nothing but chemicals, metals, and junk to share with you.

It must be pure. And, I have my favorites. I’m quite fond of Healthforce Nutritionals TRUGANIC Spirulina Manna. I LOVE Real Food Real Life’s Pro-Daily Otic, which is a fermented blend of algaes (green, grains, seeds and sprouts). Both of these taste so good that  I even get my non-health-food-lovin’ friends to crave them. They can easily blend in a smoothie and even be hidden under some raw chocolate as you transition to adding it to your diet. But, once you’re like me and crave this stuff — you’ll find it tastes great in salad dressings and dips too.  Courtney Pool wrote a whole book on spirulina recipes!

How Much Spirulina Should You Eat?

Always go slowly and learn about a food’s energy when adding something new to your diet. Spirulina has an expansive energy which means that it pulls your energy up. For some, this can mean headaches. If you’re feeling hyper or light in the head, that can mean you have some stuck energy, and spirulina can exaggerate that. Not to fear.  All greens have expansive energy. Balancing this out with the “grounding” nature of good quality sea salt is enough for some people to really benefit from this amazing algae minus the headaches.

My recommendation to my clients is usually to begin new healing foods even more slowly than suggested on the label, and take close note of how you feel. When you reach a point where you feel good, you may have hit your ideal dosage. But, it has to be built-up-to.  Traditional Chinese Medicine says it takes 100 days of an herb to start feeling the true benefits.

Most people don’t need to consume lots of spirulina to get great results. It’s potent stuff. The more you consume, the more detoxifying it becomes. Smaller amounts can address nutrient deficiencies from the core up. The way I see it is if you are deficient, like we were, it makes sense to go slowly and really allow the algae to work.  Our family shares a spirulina smoothie almost every morning, and we only use about 1 tablespoon of manna or 1-2 capsules of BioSuperfood brand (much less than recommended) in total. In the colder months, we may have a little less, or at least combine it with more warming and heavier foods in our smoothies like avocado, coconut and cinnamon.

I find the fermented algae from Real Food Real Life to be more grounding.

The fun of natural health is that you build it. Your nutritional needs and tolerances are unique. It’s cool because the experimentation makes you so much smarter about your body and what you put in it. GMO food just causes tumors and sterility.  No fun!

A Heart Of Green

Green foods open your heart chakra. It’s becoming even more popular knowledge that our emotions matter. In fact, they create vibrations that actually heal us.  The vibrations that come from your heart chakra are 500+ times stronger than those that come from your brain. So, yes, your thoughts matter. But real brain connections that create change in your life only happen when there is a corresponding emotional experience with your thought.  When you open your heart to emotions like love, gratitude and forgiveness — your body heals. Spirulina opens your heart chakra in the same way! Seriously…have a few servings and tell me if you don’t feel grateful and in LOVE with life. Food can be a healer for our physical and emotional health.

Here Is My Fave Way To Eat Spirulina…In Chocolate Of Course!

I wasn’t going to let you leave without this.  This is a recipe for my fermented chocolates. Raw chocolate or cacao is another heart chakra opener!  Some of my clients have a hard time tolerating plain raw chocolate.  But the fermentation and addition of these healing herbs and SPIRULINA seems to take care of that.

I like to add spirulina to it to balance out the acidity in the cacao, and add nourishment. Who knew it would taste so good? Most of my friends are pleasantly surprised.

Gratitude Journal Experiment Days 17-22: Gratitude Journaling Results

20120514-193418.jpg

Wow! All of this thankful talk has really got me. I’m amazed. We’ve come full circle in so little time, all because we stopped stressing over what was bothering us and kept focus on what makes us happy.

Last month seems like a dream to me now. Back then I was whimpering over plumbing problems in the third world country we decided to visit on our Tour de Bliss– and now, I’m lounging in a comfy chair on a breezy roof-deck listening to the birds and roosters sing.

If we were setting out to improve anything, it would’ve been our financial situation and how that also relates to all of those material human stuffs that we need for balance such as our physical health and connection to our bodies, availability of healthy food, our home-front, and our business and work situation. When things seemed to get “bad” for us, it was always on the material front. Our spirits freaken shine like neon lights. We know we are on the right life path. But, there have been times when we’ve cheated ourselves out of full reward for our work. This left us tired, sick and often struggle-working for money.

We created the gratitude experiment to change that. Not knowing what we could possibly do differently, on the work front (as far as career changes etc), we decided to put extra faith in what we already do. We teach people about energy, love, gratitude and co-creation of Bliss.

So, we’ve given ourselves an extra heaping helping of our own medicine.

Here’s our Lists of the moment.

Doug’s Gratitude List
:
Green grass
Smiling dogs
Smoothies
Markets
Naps

Gina’s Gratitude List:

The sound of Kundalini Yoga chanting
Thoughtfulness of others
Swimming in the ocean
Taking the long way home
Feeling at home
Breakfast with friends
Amazing Clients

The Results:

Having done this each day for close to a month now has helped us measure some concrete results.

We have officially increased our readership, private client base and income, and still been able to spend less time online

We’ve greatly improved our homeschool/unschool program for Dougie and he seems to be learning in greater detail and with greater interest and involvement.

We have met countless amazing people in our new town and have been shown amazing generosity and hospitality. We have found everything we were looking for in a town that will provide us with healthy food, friends, support, stability, fun, conscious events and more.

Can you just tell that we’re happy? We’re satisfied! We will be teaching some classes and setting up shop here (with a few small trips to ruins etc) until we get our new Bliss Mobile. Looks like after 12 years, we’re in a place inside ourselves that fosters creativity and spirit enough for me to feel like I can continue writing a novel series I started so long ago. Gratitude seriously reminds me that that place has always been there, it’s just ever -growing. Now, I see it more clearly.

Gratitude Journal Experiment: Day 11- Gratitude Journaling Results

20120503-204037.jpg

We have been practicing the gratitude agenda for over a week now. It’s been useful on a daily basis to keep reminding ourselves about the wonder that the world offers us. It seems like such a small thing, but it adds up at the end of the day. There have been times in my life when I can remember spending ample amounts of time on simply avoiding issues and making it through the work week. It’s so counter-productive to spend time worrying.

The Gratitude Journal is a reminder to keep your head in the direction of bliss. If you are reading these posts, then please take the time to set up your own journal. At the very least, reflect on what you are doing during the day and make sure that you are seeing the bright side of your situation. I know that there are times that are trying, and you might find it hard to see the positive, but I can guarantee you that if you can break through those moments with a healthy outlook that you will be rewarded as we have.

So, let’s get to the fam’s list o’ the day.

Today was relaxed and productive. We visited new places and received some tasty samples. I was invited into a home business and given some fresh homemade treats. We even met some Californians out here in no man’s land, and they invited us out for breakfast. Taking one step at a time, making sure to pet the puppies and smell the flowers with our full attention, we had a lot of cool experiences. Looking forward to tomorrow and making more out of our travels.

Gratitude Journal Experiment: Day 9- Gratitude Journaling Results

20120501-220633.jpg

We eased into the day. One minute of bliss at a time. Took a walk through the jungle and marveled at the plethora of wildlife and magical life that inhabit its majesty. What a world we live in. Overly descriptive, but true.

How often do we find the time to stop and enjoy all of the beauty that surrounds us? No matter what your situation has to offer, there are always sunrises and sunsets. Good people to line the path your day might take. Little surprises to remind you that this life is ever-changing and unexpected at its core. You never know what tomorrow will bring, so take in every moment like you mean it.

In the past day we have received new clients and found cool places to enjoy life. There has been more nature around us and a better sense of our surroundings. Answers have been coming to us in a calm and efficient manner, which has paid off positively. In the fateful words of Ice Cube “Got to say it was a good day.”

Check out our other Gratitude Journal posts and join us. We’d love to hear what your grateful for.

Gratitude Journal Experiment: Days 6, 7, and 8- Gratitude Journaling Results

20120430-201232.jpg

Another day of gratitude begins. This weekend seemed to start off a bit sluggish, with many decisions to make quickly. It wasn’t the way that we usually like to get going. We hashed over ideas for a while and then decided to let the answers come to us.

Gina sat at the ocean. Dougie and I took a stroll. Somewhere in that process the answers came to us freely. And, without any worry we had worked out our issues.

This might seem like a trivial coincidence. But, when positivity is happening every time we let go and enjoy life, it’s the type of occurrence that begs attention. People will tell you that life is what you make of it. Really dissect that statement and think about it. Life is what you make of it. Your thoughts dictate your day. A person who is happy, genuinely happy, will always find ways of making their day better than someone who is dwelling on negativity.

So without further ado, here are a list of grateful’s to kick off your own thought process:

Doug’s Gratitude List:

Wrestling with Dougie
Massages
Tea with friends
Long stretches
Local hangouts
Pie with coconut ice cream
Laughter

Dougie’s Gratitude List

Making robots
A machine robot
WALL.E
EVE
Race cars with stickers
Thx

Gina’s Gratitude List
My husband’s patience
My husband’s motivational support
A new home
The smell of my childhood in my new kitchen
Tons of sleep
Soul connections

The Results

Well, as you know we were having some problems at our apartment. It simply didn’t feel like home. The whole thing seemed to turn around in a flash after Gina spent 15 minutes watching the ocean. We found a fairy-tale looking apartment in a little surf village full of organic food, yoga studios, nature, gong baths and wonderful people. And we are paying 200 dollars less that what we paid in our last place in Puerto Vallarta.

We’ve also made many new connections with wonderful people and we think we will be living and working here in Sayulita, MX for a few months while Gina works on her novel, and we get Blissed Life going to the next level.

Join us in our Experiment! Check out our gratitude blogs and add your own!
Until Later,

One really cool thing is that the 3 of us seem to be really flowing together even more than usual. Of course, we spend lots of time together anyway and rarely argue. But, now we seem to be taking more needed personal time, and coming together more consciously. We’re paying closer attention to our individual needs and paying closer to attention to one another’s needs too. That was unexpected but very needed.

As far as our business goals, we couldn’t be happier. We’re getting more and more readers from all over the world and we feel very productive.

The weekend’s here now. So, we’re gonna relax into this gratitude vibe and see how we can ride that wave even longer. Well have more on this for you Monday!

Gratitude Experiment Day 4: Holy Blisst! –Gratitude Journal Results

20120426-203314.jpg

It’s day 4 of our gratitude journaling experiment and Thank the Angels, we’ve hit some major breakthroughs. You see, we were really inspired to start this little project because we know we have the power to improve things for ourselves–but we were a little bummed.

We began our Bliss Tour with the intentions of living more sustainably, adventuring out into culturally rainbowlicious places, and having more time with Mama Earth. And, even though we made the decision to sell our first BlIss Mobile after she broke down in Amarillo, TX– our new plan to hit Central and South America via Mexico sounded very exciting and also a great way to save money for a new house on wheels.

Buhhhhhhhhhht, dang! It’s been tough to get healthy foods here in Mexico. Were living in our third city in 3 months, and last week we hit a low point. All were really wanted were some conscious local friends to chat conspiracy over green juice with, ya know?

All we really wanted was to be able to afford the extra dough it costs to eat healthier here.

All we really wanted was for our plumbing to quit exploding and for heaven’s sake— to have some real contact with nature (new post coming on our actual experiences in Mexico with pics).

So, 4 days ago we decided to put all of our eggs in the gratitude basket, so to speak, and quit our whining about what we don’t have. Clearly, the fresh green coconuts that I get every day outside my door can help me sustain a decent gratitude glow. Clearly there are plenty of good things about Mexico, even if it isn’t our dream destination.

I can’t wait longer to share the results, so here you go:

This morning, we were invited out to breakfast by a new friend, and introduced to a few local healers who just so happened to be part of a Quantum Healing Expo. I got a free biofeedback session that was really soothing. It was awesome to swap stories and talk about things we are interested in.

Then, you’ll never believe this. I’m not one for zoos really. But I love animals and crave time with them. I got to sit face to face with a tiger, and just enjoy his warm company. His name was Diego, and a tiny fence with holes separated us. I wanted to pet him, but I didn’t. It was nice to just relax with him. He had quite a healing effect on me. Then, the boys and I strolled back to our side of town and had a delicious vegetarian buffet, met more smiling people, and now we are sitting at a Spanish Tapas joint with live music– and Dougie just manifested a his favorite French song just by mentioning it to us. I’m linking the song here. We are so grateful for all of these new goodies in our lives. Here goes our individual lists.

Gratitude Experiment Day 3: Gratitude Journaling Results

20120425-155817.jpg

Hello Day 3 of our Gratitude Experiment. the Dougs and I are taking extra time to focus on and share our gratitude journals with you to see if we can come up with any tangible connections of goodness that can be attributed to these vibes.

Gratitude comes from our heart chakras, and geniuses continue to prove that our heart chakras emit the strongest vibration in our bodies. stringer than the ones emitted by our brains. And, since DNA can be morphed based on vibrational communication, well we believe that the heart vibe of gratitude has the humongous power of granting all of us all the great stuff that makes life more BLISSED.

We’ve already seen (since embracing this lifestyle years ago) that we can now handle the “hard times” with so much more ease, and the good times have become more abundant too.

Part of the reason we came here to Earth this time is to help show you just how simple it can be to understand the workings of vibration in your life. So, here’s our gratitude lists for today, and what we’ve noticed since yesterday.

Join us if you like. Share what you are grateful for and increase this vibration exponentially! If you’re inspired to send us your gratitude stories, we can publish those too.

Yesterday’s Results

We decided to take a really calm day yesterday. We talked about what we would do if all of our business goals had been met, and I said I would sleep for 10 days. So, in the spirit of not waiting to do what my body needs to do, I slept for about 10 hours. It was glorious. The Doug’s did homeschool and watched movies and when I awoke, we went out and grabbed some fresh food for dinner– coconuts, mangoes, bananas and rice and beans. Hey, when in Mexico… Right?

The most noticeable results for the Big Doug and me are our state of calm and increase of psychic connection. We both feel a lot more clear about our intuitions and are having amazing dreams. I’ll share some dreams in upcoming posts.

Our Business goals continue to grow like sprouting seedlings of Love. We are being read in so many countries daily and receiving the best compliments from our clients. We love what we do and are sure it’s the right choice for us. Were hoping that getting more in alignment wi the essence f who we are will help us in our jobs of spreading consciousness, and in effect make our jobs easier.

Oh what a beautiful ride!

Let us know of you want to share your own stories.

Love!

Gina and the Dougs

PS. Today’s pic is inspired by the fact that today Dougie washed dishes while I sat on the bed and wrote. When I got up to see what an awesome job he did (all the dishes were clean), here was a pan full of crayons on the stove that he as planning to cook. The kid floats my boat!

Gratitude Experiment Day 2: Gratitude Journaling Results

20120424-193626.jpg

So, yesterday we started this experiment to help us see exactly how the act of expressing gratitude attracts health, wealth, abundance and all that good jazz in into our lives. We know it works because we have been rather BLISSED throughout our relationship. We express gratitude, love and high vibes and we are constantly rewarded. But, is there any way to prove this to the skeptic side of us? There are of course, some things we desire right now that would make our lives and business run much smoother. We think. That means we have something measurable.

Each day the Dougs and I will share our gratitude journal with you. And, we’ll let you know the results we see from that expression too. Dougie just jumped on board last night, so we’re excited to have the whole family doing this.

We’re not just Journaling gratitude though. We’re focussing on living on that vibration or higher. We’re allowing worried or fearful thoughts to drift as we notice them. We’re spending extra time on meditation and self-care because it feels good and adds to our gratitude. And, we’re doing what we can to transfer that vibration to you. We’re not simply being grateful because we want things. We’re focusing on the gratitude we already have to see what effects it has on our lives.

We’ll focus on the positive results we’ve seen, but if anything crazy or seemingly negative comes up — we’ll tell you about that too. Tomorrow you’ll get to see our vision board, so that hopefully we can all have a better view of what we would like to accomplish.

Yesterday’s Results

After spending a morning in gratitude, doing yoga and just loving each other– we went out and had a very productive work-day, talked to lots of new people en espanol and got many smiles.

Overall, there was a newness to the happy feeling we all had. We felt lighter and freer. We put out the intention to attract more money and financial stability, and there were moments during the day where we felt ourselves being detached from the power of money. No money came, but instead a feeling of freedom from it started to creep in. We had a fabulous day. We walked across the Jalisco, MX state line, and enjoyed banana trees, hiding kittens and simply being together.

Then, as we rounded our corner to enter our apartment last night, a neighborhood drug addict began screaming in our faces. That was a bit silly, and I became sad for him. But, we found ourselves able to send him love and not be as negatively affected by it as we may have been a few years ago. We were able to witness what happened and take a lesson without being emotionally tied to it. That was cool.

We’re already feeling calmer and more satisfied. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Join us in sharing your gratitude, won’t you?

Love You!

Gina, Doug and Dougie
