Put An End To Morning Sickness With These 10 Food Combining Rules

We don’t talk enough about proper food combining in my circles of savvy eaters. So many of my friends and clients are all about eating organic, local, raw, vegan, right for their body/blood type, grass-fed, biodynamic, or whatever. But, when I mention to them that if perhaps they switched up the combos of grub on their plates that maybe they’d drop that extra weight, feel less bloated, gain healing and de-stress – they are often surprised.

Did you know that your body needs to release different enzymes in order to break down different foods and food groups? And, that it can be taxing to your body to combine foods that require different enzymes? Each living food has its own enzymes and every enzyme has a specific function.

Proper food combining refers to eating foods together that can be digested together. Seems like a no-brainer since most of us are aware that good digestion is at the foundation of good health. But, many of the meals we traditionally eat, just don’t work in our bodies.

When we blend foods with varying enzymes, some may get digested quicker than others, leaving the slower digested foods to stick around in your beauteous bod for too long. This also puts a halt to digestion all together. Which means that nothing you eat actually gets fully absorbed. What can happen then, is that those foods can become toxic. Even healthy foods can become toxic if the digestion of those foods is halted. This can feed candida and parasites, wake up viral infections, make you constipated and more susceptible to holding on to the next food you eat. It creates a cycle of blockages. If you’re constipated you know headaches, fatigue, irritability, weakness and even smelliness (body odor) prevail. And of course cycles un-wellness can often be traced back to undigested food.

I first learned this concept when I decided to use the Body Ecology Diet to help my boy and I heal from major candida (yeast) overgrowth (and undo his autism), and it worked! Then, when I ventured into my own raw vegan eating, I did discover I could pay less attention to eating things together that don’t necessarily mix well – probably because the food I was eating was so enzyme-rich. This can mean less work for our bodies. Of course, I’m a huge fermenter and good fermented food is predigested (already broken down), so your body doesn’t need to produce more enzymes.

Digestion definitely slows during pregnancy. Midwives and books tell me it’s the hormones. But I also suspect it’s the fact that candida yeast also naturally rises. It’s all connected.

At 11 weeks prego, I went way out of my usual eating comfort zone and had a little too much peanut butter, watermelon, chocolate – you name it. It was Mothers’ Day week, and my hubby made so many treats. I guess he didn’t expect me to eat the whole tray of peanut butter brownies or a whole watermelon. But I did. And, I totally felt the aftermath.

I spent that whole week in bed with morning, noon and night sickness. My fall from the grace of sacred pregnancy eating began on a Saturday Morning at the farmer’s market of all places –where I bought peanut butter, watermelon, eggs, and honey to name a few culprits.

Before that, I’d noticed a slight uneasyness in my stomach upon waking each morning that was completely quelled by my delicious superfood smoothies. They sustained me, energized me and kept me free of digestive discomfort for weeks. I was able to do yoga each day and seriously felt better than ever. Even better than pre-pregnancy.

So, where did I go wrong? Aside from eating too much sugar? and peanut butter? And rice flour? Oh geez! Well, first of all fruit digests very quickly.. SO, when I ate cookies, and batter and then ate some watermelon, I literally felt bloated in a split second.

Ever feel that after you eat? Like your gut just bloats out? The watermelon stopped the rest of my food from being digested, and I felt super heavy for days.

Also, knowing that I’m preggers and my digestion is slower, I ate far too many cooked brownies that contain NO enzymes for digestion. This means my body would have to produce the enzymes…. But, yet what kinds of enzymes should my body produce? Enzymes to digest the eggs? The rice flour? The oil? I’m sure the answer took hours to determine.

I came out of it combining most of my meals properly, and adding more digestive enzymes and fermented foods to each meal. My diet is naturally at least 70% raw with tons of superfoods and fermented foods like coconut kefir. I drink at least 16 oz. of coconut kefir each day, which helps quicken digestion. And, it makes us feel pretty amazing too because it boosts serotonin.

There have been times when I’ve intuitively known to combine or not combine certain foods. And certainly no rules for eating apply to every person. You have to know how to check in with your body to find your balance with food.

If you’re in question about whether or not you can get more nutrition out of your food, feel lighter and clearer-focused, and put an end to morning sickness – have a go at these tried and true tips.

Proper Food Combining

Water

Don’t drink it with your food because it actually dissolves enzymes. Have a glass at least 20 minutes before eating, so that your natural enzymes can replenish.

If you want to drink something with your food, try lemon water at room temperature. This can aid in digestion. Also a cup of warm tea can be okay.

Fruit

This is a big one. Fruit digests very quickly and doesn’t really combine with many other foods. If you eat fruits alone, on an empty stomach, you give plenty of energy space for your body to digest.

Since it digests quickly, you can have more to eat a half hour later.

If I eat fruit, I try to eat it early in the day because I have more time to burn that sugar energy and its less likely that something else is in my digestive tract waiting to move on to its next destination.

First Breakfast/Liquid Breakfast

Have liquids (green smoothie, soup, tea) in the morning before bowel movements, then solid foods are okay after you poop. This is simply because your body is waking up from digesting and detoxing during the night and needs to release, and eating food requires your energy to shift back into breaking down more food instead of releasing.

Check in with your pregnant self about this one. You may want to think about what light or blended breakfast you can have instead of a smoothie or soup because you may require something more grounding in the morning. This is one of those guidelines you may not be able to follow during pregnancy. And, that’s perfectly okay. I also find that those of us who tend toward candida, spleen dampness, or low digestive energy can’t often handle too many liquids. They can make us feel heavy.

At times I’ve switched over to bone broth and fish for breakfast which works amazingly for me. In fact, it’s my fave. With some spinach and beets. But, I’ve been known to eat my fish raw… I know… so taboo. It just feels amazing and completely light for me.

Then, I’ll have my smoothie a few hours later. Or when I feel hungry.

Another idea is mono eating. Simply having a one -food breakfast like an avocado, coconut, or squash, piece of meat or some presoaked, steamed quinoa or rice.

If you’re a constipated mama to be that’d be quite common. It happens. Trying this in the a.m. may mean you can have at least one bowel movement during the day. I haven’t been plagued by any of these common issues. Except for during my one week of bed -ridden-ness.

Proteins and Carbs

Don’t mix them (example: meat and potatoes, rice and beans). They require different enzymes for digestion.

(Some disagree, of course. I’ve heard and read that rice and beans make a complete protein. I’ve also heard that potatoes have a way of decreasing the toxicity in meat. It may work for you if you have much stronger digestion. However, it hasn’t been sustainable for me, other than times when I’ve known I needed something different. Cultured vegetables also convert meat toxins into useful amino acids.)

This was one of my biggest lessons. I learned it way before becoming prego.

Animal Proteins

If you eat meat, eat it before 2 pm for ideal time to digest. Honestly, the rarer the better for digestion (sorry vegan loves). Cooking meat does kill off enzymes needed to digest it and also reduce the protein. I try to eat wild caught meats, and thankfully I’ve manifested a life where that is so available. I’m loving eating wild salmon and deer from my friend in Alaska. Yum! And, this I know is instinctive because I completely cannot stand chicken or beef right now and I rarely crave meat at all in my non-pregnant life. If I can, I like to marinate my meats in cultured veggie juice, apple cider vinegar or citrus and garlic to help break it down and minimize bad bugs. Still though, I’m not getting enough meat to fulfill all of my protein needs, so I do supplement with raw food-based supplements.

Grains

If you eat grains, these are great to have in the evening for dinner, as they help release sleep hormones. Make sure to soak and even sprout your grains to remove enzyme inhibitors and make them digestible.

Some women crave grains during pregnancy because they seem to quiet nausea. If this is you, definitely soak, sprout and try cooking on a really low temp to retain as much of the nutrition as possible. When you soak them, you’ll find that they require far less cooking time too.

Starchy Veggies

Eat these with leafy greens and other non-starchy veggies.

These can be a total goddess-send for some of my prego loves. Although they don’t usually contain as much nutrition per bite, they are often great for grounding and easing nausea. I’m getting tons of beets which are so needed right now. And, I’m blessed enough to share space with so many organic growers, that I get fresh from-the-garden squashes all the time. YUM!

Fat

Eat lots of good fats while prego. Your baby’s brain and your mood will thank you. Try to combine them only with sour fruit like lime or with herbs and non-starchy veggies.

I like to keep my fats raw and only cook with coconut oil which can stand higher temps. I take fish oils and also eat hemp oil, olive oil, raw butter and ghee as I wish. And, I wish a lot!

I even occasionally throw a raw egg yolk on top of some cooked greens, allowing it to cook on the heat of the greens. Another taboo on the raw egg front, but so full of nutrition and good for my body.

I haven’t been too in love with nuts during this time, but they can offer good protein and fat, like egg or avocado—if you can handle them. Nuts, like grains are most often more digestible when soaked first.

I also find benefit sometimes in roasted almonds. They might help you feel grounded.

Your Plate

if 80% of your meal contains leafy or non-starchy veggies like spinach, kale, collards, broccoli, veggie soup, salad etc and 20% is either grain, meat or starchy veg, you’re setting the stage for a meal well digested. Keeping lots of it raw will help kickstart that too. Of course adding in coconut kefir cultured vegetables or enzymes helps even more. If you cannot really do raw foods, try adding in more raw cultured foods. I’ve found, in my various stages of needs changing, that this really creates balance for me.

Getting Full

Try only eating until you are 80% full. Again, this leaves room for digestive enzymes to do their thing.

Your Body Knows

Your intuition is divinely heightened during this time. So, really tune -in and learn the signals. If you are craving eggs or meat there is a reason. If you are uber turned off by them, there is a reason. If you get gassy, bloaty or smelly there is a reason. If you are way more tired after you eat, there is a reason — and I’m convinced that pregnancy can be a time of amazing wellbeing, if you tune-in.

See how you feel when you mingle healthy fats with fruits…some people feel great eating these together. Try not eating starches with your grains and see if that helps. Even one of these steps can help you make huge improvements.

Being ultra sensitive during this time is your opportunity to understand your body better and build the way of eating that works best for you. All food has the potential to be medicine for you if you eat it in the best way for you.

Check Yourself

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, your spleen has to transform food and drink into energy. When your spleen is deficient, you may have a pale face and tongue, fatigue after eating, fullness in the belly and loose stools.

If this worsens, it can progress into diarrhea, candida overgrowth, cold feet and hands, a desire for warm foods and discomfort from eating raw.

Chinese Medicine also teaches that one extreme can become another if not addressed. Diarreah becomes constipation. Extreme cold can become extreme heat. And, by simply beginning with the way you eat, you can ease the burden on your spleen. If you are preggers and experiencing really uncomfortable issues, there may also be herbs you can try to help you. I love reishi mushroom. For me, this really does the trick.

Also, things like massage, dry skin brushing, yoga and acupuncture can activate your digestive system.

It’s All about YOU

While this post mostly refers to my way of eating, you can take any food that’s already on your menu and apply these concepts for digestive relief and to get more nutritional bang per bite. Most people do not get the full nutritional value of their food because it remains undigested. You can change this with food combining differently.

Try it and let me know how you feel, and remember that I am here for personal consults to help you find out what works best for you.

Namaste and Happy Eating,

Our autism Recovery Story

(article first published on rawmom.com July 2008 )

My son will be four in 13 days. And, two years ago, our own friends and family doubted he’d survive his many health challenges with so little scarring. He is Dougie. He is emerging through what the world is calling “autism.” And, he is by far the STRONGEST person I know.
The newborn Dougie was every parent’s dream. After a complicated pregnancy disrupted by a mis-diagnosed miscarriage, placenta previa, early contractions and dilation, candida skin eruptions, and ignorant remarks from a group of non supporters – I was blessed to have a healthy happy baby boy. I stared at him sleeping for the first three hours of his life.

In order to ensure that our boy’s health remained vibrant, his daddy and I employed the city’s most expensive pediatrician. I’m talking about one who charged $700 for a well visit with immunizations (after insurance, of course). Oh, how my heart sank when we couldn’t afford two of the recommended shots according to the recommended schedule!

But, our baby was sleeping through the night in his swing, sleeping through trips to the movies, friends’ parties, and car rides. The kid slept so much, my husband and I brought him on dates. My expensive pediatrician assured me, on one of our midnight-worry-calls, that all of this sleeping was a gift, and that I should revel in it. And, so I did.

And, when my dermatologist told me that the white rashes Dougie was getting were a direct reflection to the hormones in my breast milk — and that my baby was in fact suffering from ACNE, I weaned Dougie from mother’s milk. Colic began with dairy-based formula, but I never made the connection. Our E.P. (expensive pediatrician) assured me that the brand we selected was sooooo close to breast milk, and that I made the right choice. I didn’t want to poison my kid with my ruined milk, so I traded my happy sleeper for a rash-less night crier.
By the time he was ready for food he was in love with spinach, squash and bananas. We chose almond and rice milks over dairy and his tummy issues subsided. But, I regrettably kept him on formula for 14 months, because the E.P. made a case for the “unrivaled” calcium source. He was pooping about seven times a day, but at this point I knew nothing of the problem that symbolized.

I became more confident in my mommy skills as Dougie learned to walk, talk and ask for things he wanted. I knew that I wasn’t eating dairy myself. And I knew he didn’t need it either. We filled him with wholesome home cooked and raw organic foods. We made sure we chose quality food sources of fats, protein, and other essential nutrients. He craved bananas. We made sure that he never got processed foods, candy or typical un-natural kid food. And, yeah we experienced many upturned noses because of this. But the result was that my 2 year old never needed prescription meds.

And despite the life-sucking day jobs, threat of home foreclosure, getting disowned by some family members, and MY chronic ear infections, my husband and I were overjoyed at being parents.

My husband, Doug, brought Dougie to get his next round of shots while I was at work. I had an eerie feeling about it, but just couldn’t determine a good reason not to vaccinate. I just didn’t fully understand what we were doing to Dougie. And, that’s when fever and flu entered our lives.

I put on my Healer Helmet and got him better with magic elixirs of vitamins and herbs. My parents thought I was nuts.

But before I knew it, I was facing my own doctor and my own chest x-rays and blood tests that revealed I needed to rest. I had pneumonia and had apparently held it at bay for months with my natural therapies. My doctor was disgusted at the bottles of oil of oregano, colloidal silver and other goodies I brought to show him I was taking care of myself. I still didn’t fully “GET IT.”

Soon, I was being injected with various antibiotics that made it hard for me to hold my head up. My mom was taking care of Dougie. And, Dougie was in NEED of prescription meds for the first time in his life. Of course, the nurse comforted me with the fact that all kids get sick all the time, and antibiotics were simply a part of life.

I felt as though I failed him by not being there to cook his meals and make his “get better” tea. He was placed on 4 back to back rounds of antibiotics. And from Christmas Eve through mid January, he regressed into a dazed state of consciousness. He lost all of his language and had no emotional response to pain. He cried or screamed almost all the time, and refused to eat anything but pizza.

By January’s end, I picked up my head, opened my laptop, and confirmed to myself and to my best friend that Dougie had autism. At this time, my husband was too sensitive to hear the word because it held so many negative connotations for him. Dougie was so sick and his daddy was so scared. I longed for someone to scream at. Someone to talk to. But, at this point I wasn’t sad or guilty. I was determined to find a cure.
Our financial predicament left us shacking up in my brother-in-law’s basement for a few months. God bless them for not killing me as I embraced the weirdness of self-healing.

Doug and I are not those parents who took our child from doctor to doctor trying to figure out what happened. Not only could we not afford it, but our experience with doctors taught us that they (at least the ones we knew of) would not have an answer. I refused to take the money we could use for getting better and hand it over to a doctor, just to hear “I’m so sorry Mr. and Mrs. Bliss, your son has autism.” I can’t even imagine the dread those parents must feel when being sold the “no way out” approach to autism. Because we were broke, we were spared this. We never got a set of blinders or a list of therapies to help us cope.

I didn’t want to cope. I wanted to cure this. But, the autism battleground had been trudged by some dedicated people who were far more educated than me, and none of them could find a cure. I knew I had to do it differently. I knew I had to embrace Dougie’s gifts. I remember explaining this to a non-mom girlfriend who reassured me of the value of early interventions like psych drugs and speech therapies. Instead of killing her I dove inside my computer.

One half hour of research solidified the Candida question that kept popping up in my mind. We definitely had it. I had to cut sugar from our diets. A few clicks later I found a woman who lived in my state and had successfully recovered her son from autism. I sent her an email and she called me the next day. She gave me hope that I could reverse Dougie’s condition with diet. We talked for 2 hours and she referred me to the bedrokcommunity.org – who have been my backbone and best friends through this journey.

I was now coming to the deeper understanding of gut health as it relates to brain function. I introduced cultured vegetables and coconut kefir to Dougie’s diet, using a tablespoon to 4oz each day for a month – AND WE GOT EYE CONTACT BACK!! The cultured veggies helped his taste buds accept greens and gluten free grains – AND HE STARTED SAYING “THOMAS THOMAS” after his favorite train. He was getting physically stronger too, and so some more autistic symptoms began to surface. Dougie hand-flapped, licked the floor and the walls, toe-walked, used repetitive language, like “Thomas, Thomas,” and would smash his face into the floor or walls. He was mystified by wheels. But, he was becoming happier and showing it. He still wasn’t responding to his name. His behavior was very hard to handle for me, as I wanted to see more results.

Another month passed and I learned that trusting my gut meant going back to my spirituality. I prayed and meditated a lot. One moment I was blending green sludge for my son to drink and the next I was screaming in excitement and horror over the phone to my mom “I saw bugs in his poop.” Yeah, bugs. Weird stuff. And each time Dougie released something overly nasty in diaper… he gained more skills. The diet was working! But not enough for anyone to believe me.

That hurt.

My mom was so loving and my dad just kept his mouth shut. But everyone was whispering behind our backs…. wondering if the boy was getting enough protein or this or that other nutrient. And, I realized they were wearing blinders too. They too were duped by the “milk does a body good” mindset . My mom, who slaved over delicious home-cooked meals every day of my life, didn’t understand the gift that good food gives our bodies. No one understood me like the moms at the BEDROK community.
Their level of understanding goes beyond diet cures. They helped me realize that Dougie is unique. I could do Body Ecology the generic way and get some pretty great results. Or I could apply it to Dougie’s particular needs, and consider his toxins, and deficiencies — and fully recover him from autism.

We are definitely still learning. We have embraced our son as a unique being with very special talents. His spark shines brighter as we peel away the layers of damage. We no longer focus on curing him. He has a sickness that gets better each day, but it does not define him.
In time, we’ve learned to tweak his diet to address his needs. He has now adapted to a high raw and mostly vegan diet. Something he could’ve never handled in the beginning. He does get brain food like the essential fats of cod liver oil and coconut oil. He drinks about a quart of coconut kefir each day which balances out the good gut bacteria, fills him with minerals, and makes digestion of other foods a breeze. He drinks green smoothies each morning and loooves peas with apple cider vinegar. The kid craves spirulina now! What a gift!

By first focusing on his gut, we’ve prepared him to eat a wider variety of foods. As long as he gets his cultured foods, he can handle sweeter fruits, beans, and grains much better than before. In the last 2 months he went from speaking in two-word sentences to complex sentences.

We embrace each moment for what it can teach us.

We study poop, tongues and skin color. We rely on our instincts, our research and our friends who are in the same boat. To date, we have only done one test to confirm the presence of heavy metals from vaccines and environment.

My almost four year old drinks green, plays air guitar, and is beginning to read. What more could a mommy ask for. He IS my dream come true!

Autism Recovery Story: Steps We Took to Undo My Son’s Autism

This piece was written in 2009.. We’ve had MUCH more progress and made some more changes that I will continue to share. My book goes into greater detail, but I really thought that these steps would be of great value to you. Enjoy!

It is important to note that I studied my son’s deficiencies, intolerances and symptoms both by researching and by paying very close attention to his body. All of our treatments for the first 2.5 years have been either coming from whole food or herbal sources or through energy healing done at home by me. We have never hired a professional for these services (in the first 2.5 years). In the case of mineral deficiencies I have always (because of cost) made my own supplements by simply using foods and fermenting them… or buying whole food high quality supplements. I have listed helpful supplements at the end of this.

The first 9 months: In this time Dougie went from very sick (ear infection, pneumonia, sore throat, cough, and diarrhea) to very healthy. He gained back eye contact, focus and began identifying objects and people by name. This is also the time when we recognized his ability to retain information in memory. He began repeating everything he heard and even reciting it months later. He was still having major tantrums quite often, but was decreasing stimming (hand flapping, toe walking, staring into space, licking everything, brushing his face against the floor, spinning wheels, spinning himself etc, spreading feces all over himself and the walls.. these were not totally gone but were slowly drifting).

1.       Began with 1 tablespoon young coconut kefir and slowly increased to 1 cup per day within a week

2.       Made him lots of soups and blended foods that were easy to digest

3.       Got him to eat cultured veggies by dipping blue corn chips into them or using stevia to sweeten them

4.       Added digestive enzymes (Enzymedica Brand before meals)

5.       Began following strict Body Ecology after 1.5 months of transition (this meant no fruit at all, no acidic veggies or mushrooms etc )

6.       Made cultured foods about 40-60% of his diet (dips, juices, veggies, kefir etc)

7.       Added in another probiotic (fivelac): saw more improvement in focus

8.       Added cod liver oil: saw more improvement in focus

9.       Added vitamin C

10.   Added spirulina (saw amazing results… it was like his brain really kicked in and he began learning new things each day).

Month 10: Gone Raw: We were not progressing fast enough. I was feeling that Dougie was still sluggish and sad a lot of the time. He barely had any speech except repeating and labeling. So, we decided to go more raw…. My new motto became… Green it, Blend it, Ferment it

1.       Began Donna Gates’ antiviral protocol which included no fats, no grains, no fruit at all for 10 days

2.       Added enemas, castor oil packs, Epsom salt baths and skin brushing to our routine. : Dougie released lots of toxins through enema and began talking so much more after each enema… sometimes this speech miracle would only last a short while (10 minutes)

3.       Increased morning green drink to 1 quart and added more greens to it (Vitamineral green etc)

4.       Implemented energy healing (massage, reflexology, eft, reiki – saw amazing results like better sleep, happiness, calmness, less stimming, and again more speech. No colds, infections at all. He was also becoming interested in other people… but not yet really wanting to socialize

5.       Added liver support (milk thistle, artichoke etc)

6.       Cultured beet juice for liver cleansing and  he released lots of toxins (parasites)

7.       Added peter Gillian’s Natural Calm cal/mag supplement

The next year: Here we went almost 100% raw and vegan – no animal products at all. We used highly absorbable super foods and supplements. I began making elixirs of herbs and roots, fermenting more foods, and creating a rotated food schedule that allowed him more than what Body Ecology offered. On such a high probiotic-rich raw diet his body could now handle sweet fruits on occasion, beans, potatoes… we still had (have) an issue with protein digestion. He flourished here and began telling us what he wanted; taking interest in playing with other kids, spoke clearer every day, cognitive speech was really improving. He was very healed by end of year 2

1.       Began each day with 1 quart green smoothie

2.       Consumed 1 qt of yck per day

3.       Baby spa ( skin brush, Epsom salt bath, castor oil pack and enema, then EFT before bed on the infrared mat.. with classical music) amazing results

4.       Lots more time in nature (camping, hiking swimming) resulted in him being much more grounded… tantrums were finally dissipating

5.       Mini juice feast… we began juicing (in rotation with smoothies)

6.       Added hemp, chia, bee pollen , blue green algae, Vitamineral green and earth,

7.       Began tummy massages to help stimulate digestion of protein

8.       Added peaceful planet  supreme meal protein powder

9.       Created sensory learning at home… home school with other children and alone (helped very much socially and with him being grounded in himself

Beyond year 2: We continued on a high raw probiotic diet but I stopped worrying about diet…it was no longer my main focus.  I studied reiki, shamanism, energy healing and began very intricate meditation on my own which helped bring us even further out of the darkness of autism. The movement and spiritual practices have helped him use his body in a more coordinated way. Combining this with sensory learning and practical chores like doing dishes and cooking food have helped him become a lot more balanced all over. – even in his thinking and expression). This is where I have realized that energy healing is a HUGE key to recovery. He has only been sick for 5 days in the past 2 and half years and we treat it all naturally. His autism truly unravels each day

1.       Continued on diet  with baby spa treatments ( he continues to improve each day)

2.       Implemented structured yoga/exercise routine

3.       Grounding exercises ( Gabriel Roth’s 5 rhythms, chakra balancing etc)

4.       Exercises to jog brain development (criss -crossing legs, skipping,  dancing)

5.       Added e3 Live “Brain On” and saw amazing results

6.       Added in marine phytoplankton and he literally lost a tic that he had

What’s Next: Now, his gut is healed to a point where we can really focus on his brain. We continue our diet but are much more flexible in what he can eat. He has had spouted wheat and raw dairy with no bad reaction. He has had sugar with no bad reaction. During winter months he eats more cooked food and has had egg and salmon as needed.  Our energy healing practice increases daily.  He now knows how to wash dishes, put on his own clothes, and turn on lights in bathroom – problem solving skills increase.

Here is a list of new supplements we will add for brain swelling, and cognitive development as well as immune support:

1.       Zango brand mangosteen juice ( fermented)

2.       Acai and goji juice fermented and fermented treats with these

3.       Multivitamin (looking for highest quality)

4.       Fish oil ( looking for highest quality)
